My grandmother, Lois was a incredible person. She helped show me love, kindness, humor, laughter, and not to be so serious. She also showed me how to serve other people, she served people so easily and always made lots of jokes. She was a joy to be around and helped me strive to finish my education. She also helped me fight for anything I believed in. She was fearless in fighting for what she believed in. She also had a sense of adventure and made everything fun. I also loved hearing her play the piano and sing opera. I believe I got my singing voice and sense of adventure from her. She will be greatly missed, but so remembered. I love telling stories to my daughter how she played April Fools on me several times, and how she taught me to cook. Oh how grandpa and I loved her oatmeal raisin cookies.

Lois was my Dad's sister. Growing up I looked forward to times my parents and I visited Lois and George, first as a kid when they lived in San Leandro, then as an adult when they lived in Bodega Bay. They both had a wonderful sense of humor and I always left feeling the joy they experienced living their lives. When I needed support, they reached out and made it known they were there for me. I will miss the quit wit and laughter Lois brought each visit. I was blessed to have her a part of my life.

I have fond memories of her. She had such a huge sense of humor. She was so quick to laugh. If there was humor to be found in something she found it. And she loved to keep people in 'suspended animation' while she ran for the camera to 'catch the moment'! I would love to be able to look through her photo albums!

Shirley and family, The loss of a mother is especially hard. I am glad that I had a chance to meet Lois. It seems that she had a full and productive life with a great legacy. RIP
